We install certified Cat6 as standard — rated for 1 Gbps up to 100 metres and perfect for gaming, streaming and work. For future-proofing or 10 Gbps setups we can run Cat6a. We'll advise on the right grade during your free site survey.
It depends on how many devices and rooms you want wired. A typical three-bedroom house with a gaming room and home office suits an 8- or 16-port managed switch. Larger properties or small businesses may need 24 ports with PoE for access points and cameras. We size everything as part of the design phase.
A single run (router to one room) is usually a couple of hours. A full whole-house install with multiple drops, trunking, patching and testing typically takes one to two days. We work cleanly, patch up afterwards, and test every run before we leave.
